you could try applying for money from the lottery fund. the application form is quite long winded but it may be worth a try. good luck.

It would help to know where you come from. I’m giving you Aussie advice in case you’re in the UK or something…

Anyway… getting a van for wheelchair is fairly difficult and I know it’s an expensive exercise. Try to find out what your local government can offer you. Here we have councils that may help. Or find out some of the disability mobs about the place. For example if the person has Muscular Dystrophy, go to the relevant organisation and see what they can do.

Unfortunately, though, I’ve found that the grants that are out there tend to be for people over 55 – like a rebate for scooters…

if she is going to be working–vocational rehab willhelp–she willhave to pay the base cost–but they may help pay for teh accessibel features (this is in teh US)

Vocational Rehab MAY pay for any modifications, but they DO NOT pay for the van itself.

They make all kinds of vehicles that are wheelchair accessible. You may have to get it custom made. Don’t know how your finances are though.

yes they do! my husband is in a wheelchair to and he had to go through drivers ed through Ric in Chicago IL. they made him drive a car

Yes, they do they make car, and suv’s for a nice vehicle go to KIA or Ford they’ll have something you like because I am not a van person myself
